Tim is a sports writer and columnist for the New Bedford Standard-Times,
the Boston Metro, and the Wareham Bulletin. His interest in the paranormal
led to the creation of “Spooky Southcoast,” which airs on New Bedford signal
1420AM WBSM, where Tim also co-hosts the weekly sports talk program “The Locker Room.”
In addition to his work at WBSM, Tim also has made appearances on Boston sports signal
1510 The Zone, including a stint as a color commentator on the first live radio
broadcast of a pro wrestling event in over 50 years. He also makes frequent appearances
on CN8’s “SportsPulse” television program.
A former world champion matador, Matt traded in the dangerous work of fighting the bull
for the less-deadly art of slinging it—hence his involvement in this program. He brings
a healthy dose of skepticism to “Spooky Southcoast,” mainly because his distrust of all
human beings prevents him from believing anything they say. Matt currently resides in
an abandoned train depot with his pet mole Chewy (yes, ladies, he’s single!) and owns
a beach house in the Lost City of Atlantis. In his spare time, Matt likes to pursue
interests such as taunting rabid dogs, summoning the ancient spirits of evil, tugging
on Superman’s cape, spitting into the wind, and making his own jellies and jams.
The enigmatic Matt Moniz is a chemist by day, and paranormal researcher
(and sometime-sound guy) by night. He has almost 20 years experience
investigating the unknown, and there’s little he hasn’t encountered in
that time. Matt has been published in books like “Left at East Gate” by
Larry Warren and Peter Robbins, “Witness” by Budd Hopkins, and “Glimpses”
by Linda Moulton Howe. In his capacity as Science Advisor, he introduces
intriguing evidence of the existence of the paranormal, while ensuring
that Tim and Matt continue to seek answers yet never stop asking questions.
